Cranberry Irrigation – High Temperature Protection

Recent research has shown that if stress is reduced on the plant by spraying during high temperatures, that by protecting against heat stress, higher quality berries are produced.

IAS Advanced AutoStart users can trigger their systems to start by setting three parameters: High Temp Start, High Temp Stop, and High Temperature Line. Since more IAS customers are starting to protect against high temperature, we’ve added High Temperature Line as a standard parameter on the HarvestWatch screen. Make sure to set the High Temperature Line to a value lower than High Start/Stop, but still higher than Low Start/Stop. Some customers are starting at 100, stopping at 90 and set their High Temperature Line for 80.
